Pr Marie-Hélène Lafage-Proust
Pr Lafage-Proust was trained at University of Bordeaux , France & at Merck Research Lab USA. She is currently full professor at the University Jean Monnet (UJM), Saint-Etienne, where she teaches cell biology at the Medical School. She is physician at the Rheumatology Department of the University Hospital in St-Etienne. She takes care of patients with metabolic bone disorders, with a particular interest for patients with chronic kidney disease. She is also researcher at the INSERM 1059 unit SAINBIOSE, team "Biology of bone and joint tissues”. She is expert in the role of microvascularisation in bone remodelling and in response to osteo-anabolic stimuli such as parathormone as well as in the role of bone proteins of the SIBLING family and in particular of the bone sialoprotein (under the direction of L Malaval). She has 226 publications referenced in Clarivate Web of Science®. She is in charge of scientific integrity at the UJM since 2020. She was vice chancellor of the administrative council of UJM.
